This December, Natuzzi Italia brought its heritage and vision to Design Miami, the premier international fair for collectible design. For this occasion, Simple Flair had the pleasure of curating Unexpected Roots, an immersive installation created in collaboration with the food-art studio Ananas Ananas.
Unexpected Roots transforms the act of sharing a meal into a multisensory experience, reinterpreting the symbol of the root, a metaphor for the invisible connections anchoring Natuzzi Italia to craftsmanship, culture, and creativity, values at the core of the brand’s DNA.
Within the Miami flagship store, the installation invites visitors to experience design beyond the product: to see, touch, taste, and hear the brand’s values in a setting where sensory perception meets creative experimentation. Stainless-steel matrices, inspired by the root motif, interact with the new collection, bridging artisanal tradition, domestic rituals, and Mediterranean conviviality.
Through this curatorial project, Simple Flair explored how heritage, design, and sensory storytelling converge into a coherent and engaging narrative, offering an innovative perspective on Natuzzi Italia’s international identity and design philosophy.
